- Volunteer affiliation, assigned role, access level, and duty status.
- Optional amateur-radio call sign, amateur license class, and GMRS call sign.
- Notification preferences and consent records, including consent date, source, and opt-out status.
- Alert activity, including delivery events, acknowledgement responses, availability responses, timeouts, and related assignment records.

How information is used
Information is used to review and administer participant access; send authorized activation notices, availability polls, exercise notices, tests, and essential service messages; maintain duty status; record responses; secure the project; and troubleshoot message delivery.
Public information
A public incident display may show incident information and aggregate responder counts. It is not intended to display participant names, telephone numbers, email addresses, radio call signs, individual availability responses, or other private participant details.
SMS and telephone communications
SMS and telephone notifications are optional. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to an SMS to opt out, HELP for assistance, or START to resubscribe. An SMS opt-out does not automatically disable separately selected telephone or push-notification preferences.
SMS consent and mobile telephone information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Vendors and required disclosures
The minimum information reasonably needed may be processed by vendors that provide hosting, authentication, SMS, telephone, push notification, security, and technical support. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, to protect people or systems, or at the affected personās direction.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as reasonably needed for participant administration, notification records, consent verification, security, dispute resolution, and applicable recordkeeping duties. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet, wireless, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
Approved participants may update their notification preferences through MUSTER or contact the project operator. Requests to access, correct, or remove personal information may be made through the help instructions on the SMS Program Details page. Some records may be retained when reasonably needed to document consent, protect security, or resolve a dispute.
Children
MUSTER is intended for approved adult volunteer participants and is not directed to children under 13.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as MUSTERās features or applicable requirements change. The effective date will be revised when material changes are published.
